Accessing your files
How do I access my files after purchase?
After your Etsy purchase you will receive a Welcome Guide PDF. Open it and click the link for the file you want. You will be taken to Google Drive and prompted to click 'Make a copy.' This saves the file to your own Google Drive so you can edit it. The whole process takes about two minutes.
I clicked the link but it is asking me to request access. What do I do?
That usually means you are viewing the file while signed into a different Google account, or you are not signed in at all. Do not click 'Request access.' Sign into your primary Google account first, then click the link again and choose 'Make a copy.'
I cannot find the Welcome Guide. Where is it?
In your Etsy account, go to Purchases and Reviews, find your BossKit order, and click Download Files. The Welcome Guide PDF will be there. If you checked out as a guest, check the confirmation email Etsy sent you -- it contains a download link.
Do I need a paid Google account?
No. A free Google account is all you need. If you do not have one yet, create one at google.com before clicking the file links.
Can I use these files in Microsoft Word or Apple Pages instead of Google Docs?
Yes. Every template is also available as a .docx file that works in Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, and most other word processors. The Welcome Guide contains links to both versions. The calculators are available as .xlsx files that open in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Using the products
Which AI tool should I use with the SOP prompts?
Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini all work well, and free accounts on all three are sufficient. If you are not sure where to start, Claude tends to produce the most structured output for SOP-style prompts -- it is worth trying first.
The AI produced something generic that does not match my business. What should I do?
The prompts are designed to ask you questions about your specific business before generating anything. If the output feels generic, go back through those questions and give more detail: specific tool names, timelines, team members, and steps. The more specific your answers, the more specific the output. The workbook has a section on getting the most from the prompts.
Can I share the files with a team member or contractor?
The licence covers one user -- but sharing the finished work is exactly the point. Once your SOPs are completed, share them with your whole team. What the licence does not cover is sharing the blank template files or prompt documents with people outside your business, or using them to build products for others.
The pricing calculator dropdown menus are not working. What do I do?
Dropdown menus work most reliably in Google Sheets. If you are working in Excel and a dropdown is not responding, try opening the file in Google Sheets instead by uploading it to your Google Drive. If you are already in Google Sheets and a dropdown is still not working, check that you have made a copy of the file rather than working in the original -- File > Make a copy before you start entering anything.
